Originally we (Spruce/Jeff, Emily and I) were going to attempt a presidential traverse, but the weather forecast overnight wasn't looking too good, so we opted for a northern presidential hike going up the 6 husbands trail to Mt Jefferson, over the ridge to Adams and Madison before heading dowm the Osgod trail. Total was over 15 miles and 5000' which means it is officially a death march, Emily's first. There were some nasty storms overnight, but they cleared up early in the morning, which gave us a really nice day.

on the side of Rt 3 near I93 we saw a this moose grazing on the side of the road.
