Ashley and I went to NH Saturday night (the 28th), originally we were plannng to hike Isolation with some friends, but they changed the starting time to be earlier and decided it was a good idea to include a bushwhack, and we weren't feeling the bushwack, so we bailed. After dinner in North Conway we camped at the Blackberry Crossing campground (mainly because Dolly Copp was covered in snow, but just as far south as N Conway it was clear).

It was a very windy night and setting up the tent and building the fire was actually tricky.

We woke up nice and late, got breakfast in town and headed over to Maine to hike Old Speck, which we need for our NE67 list, we started nice and late.

We didn't actually make it to the top, the top was in the clouds so there were no views, it was getting late and we were having equiptment issues (Ashley's traction kept falling off and mine broke), so we turned around and decided to hike it another day. It isn't that we couldn't have made it, we just decided not to this time. Maybe it was all the Thanksgiving turkey :P
