Another hike in VT, Ashley and I decided to drive up the night before and camp with my new sleeping bags rated down to 0 degrees. The drive to the trail head included a road which wasn't plowed and we almost crashed Ashley's all wheel drive car getting there. When we did get there at about 1 AM it was 7 degrees out. we pitched the tent and got into bed. I managed to be ok with just shorts and socks on. Ashley slept in her base layer, a sweater, hat and used one of the 25 degree bags as well. Neither of us slept very well and it didn't help that someone pulled up at about 5 AM.

The hike was cold, most people made it to the trail head even though the road we took was a mess (we found out there was a better way, which we used to get out).
