Ashley and I hiked Mt Cannon, while it was sunny and warm everywhere else, there was snow here. We hiked up the high cannon trail to the top (from Lafayette campground) and then we thought we would hike down the Kinsman ridge trail to Lonesome lake, but we came to a huge patch of ice which was too much for our microspikes (and we didn't bring ice axes and crampons because we didn't think it would be that icy), so we had to head back up to the top and go back down the way we came on the high cannon trail.
