This is the biggest hike I have taken yet. 20 miles, about 8000' of gain and 18.5 hours (3:30 AM to 9 PM). Mikkel and I decided it was time for a chalenge and we got one! The presidential range is the higest of all of the mountains in the White Mountain rage. It includes Mt Madison, Adams, Jefferson, Washington, Monroe, Eisenhower and Pierce. The traverse can also include Jackson and Webster, but we didn't do those because we had had enough!

We started with a clear sky at 3:30 AM after camping overnight, but before we even hit the summit of Madison we hit heavy rain.

3AM ready to get started!

Let the rain begin!

It looks like the knights of NI could jump out at any time.

And yet we continue!

Look clear sky!

oops there is goes

Mt Madison

Mikkel pretending to hold a quarter for scale.... it was funny at the time

I hate Mt Washington, there is nothing worse than hiking for hours just to hit a parking lot and gift shop!

Mt Monroe, ready to call it a day
